Turkey day!!

The semester is almost over?? I cannot believe that when we get back from thanksgiving it is going to be two weeks and we already are done. One more semester till I am a senior and with that on my mind I am a little freaked out. I am ready to take on the loads of work with next two weeks... but first I think it is time to stuff my face with some turkey and catch up on some rest!! I hope that everyone has a great turkey day and enjoys being home with their families! I know I will :)

Safe travels, and stay warm :))

Mondays are a little rough...

I swear professors get together and decide that they are going to give every student homework at the same time and when they are busiest with other things. lol Today was the usual stereotypical Monday... aka... a little rough. Woke up this morning at 5:30 to study for my Fitness Ed exam and felt really good about it when I finished :) Then had a meeting at 7:30 for 352 secondary ed methods where I got way to excited for my first field experience which is next semester!! Spent the day in library and finished up the night after class with a good workout :)

Overall... I am ready to finish tomorrow and go home and spend time with the family :)

F.I.T. Club Workout

The F.I.T. Club  workout Friday morning at 7:30 was a complete success. I could not be happier and more proud of every one who participated and the members of the club that helped. We had a lot of good feedback and I continued to receive compliments left and right throughout the weekend! The room that we were assigned was pretty much the only place in the whole convention center that had heat on. So it was the hottest room and ironically was the room we had to do a full workout in. The participants did not like us very much at the end. haha one comment made by someone was "Slippery Rock is trying to kill me"! That means they were working out hard and that is exactly what we wanted :)

Last day as an intern

Sunday:

Finished my weekend as an intern at PSAPHERD in Seven Springs and could not have asked for a better experience. I got to spend four days with some of my amazing peers that I have been friends with since freshman year. I learned a lot this weekend and one thing I learned is how vitally important sleep is ;) Despite being sleep deprived I met so many new people, and strengthened many friendships. Being able to leave Seven Springs today and say that I have made one step closer to being a better me was a big accomplishment in my book!

I hope everyone that went as a Slippery Rock student was able to learn as much as they can and see how important it is to be active in your profession!!
